We love trying out new gears! Each year, we test out the latest camera models, new lenses and some fun gears to add new possibilities to our work.

However, new gears come and go, following items have been battle-tested and became staples in our arsenal.

Cameras

Canon 5D III - This is our favourite all-rounder camera and we use it for all important moments of your day.
Canon 5D II - This camera is often paired with a prime lens and best used for high-quality still portraits and candids during any circumstances.
Canon 1D III - Capable of firing 10 fps with unmatched tracking ability, perfect for capturing moving scenes and moments that happen in a split of second.
Canon 6D - Top-quality image, also allows us to change lens less-frequently, which means more time for shooting.
Canon 7D - Responsive, long-reaching, also good for video.
Canon 70D - Great for video work, also shoots high-quality photo too.
SONY FS7 - Our primary machine for cinematic 4K 60p slow-motion
SONY A7S - The King of low light. Full-frame cinematic look videos.
SONY A7II - Lightweight and excellent image quality.
SONY AX100 - Our professional 4K camcorder, exceptional video quality, future-proof, also shoots 120p HD cinematic slow motion footage.
SONY AX53 - For a second 4K camera angle, built-in optical stabilizer great for hand-held situations.

GoPro - Multiple units. Placed in hard-to-reach places and remote-controlled to add unique angles.

Canon 50 F1.2 - Produces dreamy images with unmatched colour rendition, great for close-ups and half-length portraits.
Canon 135 F2 - One of our favourite portrait lens, produces extremely sharp image and dreamy background blur.
Canon 16-35 F2.8 - Used for both portraits and environmental shots, making people's legs appear longer when properly used.
Canon 24-70 F2.8 - A all-rounder lens produces very sharp image, often used during ceremony and parties.
Canon 70-200 F2.8 IS - One of our favourite lens. Fast, versatile, great image quality.
Canon 100 F2.8 Macro - For rings, close-ups and decoration details.
Sigma 35 F1.4 - Great for both half-length and full-length portraits. Dreamy background blur. Great for low-light situations.
Canon 8-15 F4 Fisheye - Special effect lens with 180 degree field of view, often used to shoot the bright milky way in the summer.
Rokinon 85 T1.5 Cine - For dreamy video footage, smooth focusing racking.
Tokina 11-16 F2.8 - Wide-angel lens for our 7D and 70D camera.

Canon 600 EX-RT Speedlite - multiple units.
Nissin Extreme 8000 with external battery pack - capable of rapid continuous firing, the only on-camera flash that won't over heat.
Elinchrom Studio Strobe - Multiple units. Our main light sources for shooting the ceremony, group photo session, reception and the party (so don't worry if your church lighting is not suited for photography, we will make it look good!)
Wescott 7' Umbrella - used with our studio strobes to light up the altar during ceremony and group photo sessions.
Elinchrom Rotalux Double-diffused Octa Softbox - Our main softbox for portrait lighting, simply gorgeous.
Elinchrom 27" Beauty Dish - For crisp glamour shots.
FloLight Continues Lights - Light, compact, high CRI index for faithful colour reproduction, our go-to video lights.

Boomerang Flash Bracket - Rotates and allows speedlite to stay up-right when shooting vertically to avoid horizontal shadows behind objects.
Garry Fong Lightsphere - Eliminates shadows when shooting indoors in a small space, produces more flattering look than bouncing flash off the ceiling.
Rogue Flashbender - Reduces specular lights and shadows when using flash in an up-right position. Good for both on- and off-camera applications.
5-in-1 Collapsible reflector - Needless to say, for fill-light during outdoor sessions when the sun is high and shadow is harsh.

Sennheiser 416 Shotgun Mic - An industrial standard for directional sound recording in the broadcasting and movie industry.
Sennheiser 100 G3 Wireless Lav Mic - Clipped onto the groom and the officiant, for recording the oath. Crisp sound, reliable wireless technology.
Zoon H6 Sound Recorder - Multiple units. For high-quality multi-channel on-site sound recording.
Rode Blimp with Fur - For outdoor recording, greatly reduces wind noise.
Carbon Fiber Boom Pole - Rarely pulled out during ceremonies, but frequently used for producing short movies.
Sony Bluetooth Wireless Mic - Multiple units. In case we need to wire up multiple talents simultaneously.
AudioTechnica Wired Mic - Multiple units. For sit-down interviews, and backup purposes.

Gitzo Tripod - Multiple units. Our go-to tripod for shooting still photos. Essential for stacking photos, special effects and low light situations.
Sachtler ACE Fluid Head Video Tripod - The best video tripod we can get for extremely smooth video pan and tilt movements.
Manfrotto Monopod - Easy to carry around for our mobile video camera operator.
Glidecam HD2000 - Our handheld video stabilizer for smooth camera movement on the fly.
Motorized video and time-lapse slider - for smooth motion that spans over a relatively long time period.
Video Slider - For smooth camera movement in various situations.
Modified Golf Cart - Yes! It carries our camera bag, a light stand, a huge softbox, half case of bottled water, a foldable reflector and clients' belongings when we shoot engagement photos in the park! All-terrain wheels with free maneuverability! It has taken the weight off our shoulders and backs ever since!

DJI Phantom 4 4K - The latest drone model from DJI. Capable of filming 4K UHD videos and 120fps Slow-mo HD videos and active tracking modes, allowing us to get creative shots that is not possible in the past. We are motivated to bring it to every wedding shoot, however, taking-off is subject to weather condition, no-fly zones and local laws and regulations. Do talk to us if you have a strong wish to include it during your wedding - no extra cost.
DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus - Our old drone, now used for new pilot training.
